1. Agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Mayer Ventures LLC, a Florida company that owns and operates DistroFi ("we", "us"). By using DistroFi, as a guest or with an account, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use DistroFi.

2. What DistroFi is

DistroFi is a budgeting app that helps you plan each paycheck: income, bills, spending, savings, investments and debt. You enter everything yourself. DistroFi does not connect to your bank, move money, or pay bills for you.

3. Not financial advice

DistroFi and Mayer Ventures LLC are not licensed financial advisors, investment advisors, tax professionals or lawyers.

Calculations, projections, payoff plans and AI advisor responses are for information and education only. They depend on the numbers you enter and may be incomplete or wrong. You are responsible for your own financial decisions, and you should talk to a qualified professional before making important ones.

4. Guest use and accounts

• Guest use: you can use DistroFi without an account. Your budget is saved only in that browser on that device. Clearing your browser data, or losing the device, erases it, and we can't recover it. Creating a free account backs it up.
• Accounts: give accurate information and keep your password to yourself. You're responsible for activity on your account. Tell us right away at support@distrofi.org if you think someone else has accessed it.
• You must be at least 13 to use DistroFi. If you're under 18, use it with a parent's or guardian's permission. You must be 18 or older to buy a subscription.

5. Pro subscriptions, trials and billing

• Plans: Pro Solo and Pro Couples are billed monthly or yearly at the price shown when you subscribe. The core app stays free.
• Free trial: new subscribers get a free trial (7 days, or 14 days with a friend's referral link). A card is required. If you don't cancel before the trial ends, your subscription starts and your card is charged.
• Renewal: subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
• Cancelling: cancel any time from Settings, then Manage subscription. You keep Pro until the end of the period you've paid for, and you won't be charged again.
• Refunds: payments are non-refundable, including for partly used periods, except where the law requires otherwise. If something went wrong, email us and we'll look at it.
• Price changes: if a price changes, we'll tell you before it applies to your next renewal, so you can cancel first.
• Referral rewards: when someone you refer makes their first payment, you get one free month on your next bill. We may end or change the referral program, and we may withhold rewards obtained through fake accounts or other abuse.

Payments are processed by Stripe, and Stripe's terms also apply to payments.

6. Couples and shared budgets

If you join a household, your partner can see and change what you share, and you can see and change what they share. Only invite someone you trust. Either of you can leave the household at any time.

7. Partner offers

The app may show offers from other companies. They are run by those companies, under their own terms. We don't control their products and may earn a referral fee if you sign up.

8. Fair use

Please don't:

• break the law or use DistroFi to harm anyone;
• try to get into accounts or data that aren't yours;
• reverse engineer, copy or resell the app or its code;
• scrape it or overload it with automated requests, or misuse its servers or AI features;
• create fake accounts, including to get referral rewards.

9. Your data and our app

The budget information you enter belongs to you. You let us store and process it only as needed to run DistroFi, as described in the Privacy Policy. The DistroFi name, logo, design and software belong to Mayer Ventures LLC.

10. Changes and availability

We're always improving DistroFi, so features may change, and the service may occasionally be unavailable. We'll do our best to give notice before removing a paid feature you rely on. Keep your own exports of anything important.

11. Disclaimers

DistroFi is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including warranties that it will be accurate, error free, uninterrupted or fit for a particular purpose, to the fullest extent the law allows.

12. Limits on our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Mayer Ventures LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost money, profits or data, arising from your use of DistroFi. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $50 if you haven't paid us anything.

Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

13. Ending your use

You can stop using DistroFi at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put the service or other users at risk.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Florida, unless the law where you live requires otherwise.

15. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we'll update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use DistroFi after that means you accept the new terms.
